Australia’s Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) reports (20-Jan-2012) the following traffic highlights for Australian domestic airlines in Nov-2011:

  • Passenger numbers: 4.6 million, -1.1% year-on-year;

      • Brisbane-Sydney: 372,386, -3.0%;
      • Brisbane-Melbourne: 267,714, -1.2%;
      • Gold Coast-Sydney: 185,981, -5.7%;
      • Adelaide-Melbourne: 168,437, -14.0%;
      • Melbourne-Perth: 155,325, +0.3%;
      • Perth-Sydney: 152,988, +7.2%;
      • Adelaide-Sydney: 145,716, -3.2%;
      • Gold Coast-Melbourne: 145,458, -8.4%;
      • Canberra-Sydney: 94,827, -6.5%;
    • Load factor: 81.3%, +1.4 ppts;
      • Melbourne-Sydney: 83.6%, -2.5 ppts;
