ARC: Air ticket refunds increase slightly since Bin Laden death

Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) reports (05-May-2011) refunds for airline tickets sold by US travel agents, including online travel websites, have increased in the days since Osama Bin Laden's death. Initial data revealed ticket refunds increased to 33,518 over the first two days of the week, representing 2.6% of the 1.3 million outstanding air tickets during this period, versus 1.9% of the 1.2 million outstanding tickets during the first two days of the week.
