Appalachian Air launches first service on 27-Oct-2014

Appalachian Air, a start-up carrier, launched (24-Oct-2014) daily Pikeville-Nashville service on 27-Oct-2014, operated by Public Charters and and Corporate Flight Management with Jetstream 32 aircraft. The route is Appalachian Air's first service. L.B. Schmidt & Associate president Luke Schmidt, consulting company for Appalachian Air, stated, "After nearly four years of planning, recruiting, meetings, teleconferences, addressing regulatory hurdles, etc., on the part of our community and air service partners, we are ready to launch the very first commercial air flight from Pikeville and Eastern Kentuck."
