ANA Holdings outlines plans for LCC subsidiary, continue to expand LCC operation

ANA Holdings stated (14-Feb-2014) it would continue to expand its LCC operations to capitalise on demand in the East Asian LCC market and bring these businesses to profit as part of its medium-term management plan, FY2014 to FY2016. Details are as follows:

  • Vanilla Air: Vanilla Air's fleet will increase from six aircraft to 10 by the end of FY2015 and its network will be expanded through the launch of services mainly to international leisure destinations such as Hong Kong and Micronesia. The group also sees possible early profitability for the LCC;
    • Fleet:
      • FY2013: Six aircraft;
      • FY2014: eight;
      • FY2015: 10;
      • FY2016: 10;
  • Peach: Peach will expand its network, based on its success in the Kansai area. [more - original PR - English/Japanese]
