Amman Queen Alia International Airport handles 3.6m pax in 1H2014

Jordan's Airport International Group reported (26-Jul-2014) passenger numbers at Amman Queen Alia International Airport increased 12.9% year-on-year to 3.6 million and aircraft movements increased 8.6% to 36,049 in 1H2014. Passengers increased 10.5% to 687,804 and movements increased 9.2% to 6573 in Jun-2014. AIG CEO Kjeld Binger said that while the majority of the airport's routes have shown increased activity during this period, top contributors comprised the GCC, Sharm El Sheikh, Iraq, Tripoli and London.
