Airports Authority of India considers privatisation of 15 non-operational airports

India's Minister for Civil Aviation, Praful Patel, reportedly announced the Airports Authority of India is considering plans to privatise at least 15 non-operational airports (Channel NewsAsia, 13-Apr-2010).

Ministry of Civil Aviation: "With such a large geography and with such a large population, we have only 90 operational airports. That's not enough. We need to have at least 400 operational airports.
