AirAsia route expansion restricted by lack of aircraft: CEO

AirAsia Berhad CEO Aireen Omar, speaking on CAPA TV, said (20-Sep-2015) the airline does not have enough aircraft to facilitate routes to new destinations due to redeployment of aircraft within the AirAsia Group. Ms Omar said the airline will add at least three aircraft to its portfolio, review its schedules and attempt to optimise aircraft utilisation with a view to increasing routes and frequencies.
