Air Nostrum secures USD150m for fleet renewal plan

Air Nostrum secured (31-May-2016) USD150 million in financing for the acquisition of up to six Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft. Air Nostrum's fleet renovation plan is budgeted at over EUR800 million and is scheduled to extend from 2016 to 2018, substituting 90 seat CRJ900s for 100 seat CRJ1000s. The financing was acquired from Investec and Export Development Canada, has a duration of 10 years, and includes delivery of the four aircraft between Mar-2016 and May-2016. The financing agreement may also include two other aircraft. The fleet renovation plan will result in Air Nostrum's average fleet age reducing to 6.6 years in 2018, a 22.3% decrease.
