Air Mekong launches operations

Air Mekong received its Air Operator's Certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) on 08-Oct-2010, ahead of launching operations on 09-Oct-2010 (Bernama/Alternative Airlines, 11-Oct-2010). The start-up launched operations with Hanoi-Phu Quoc and Ho Chi Minh City-Phu Quoc services. It also plans to launch services from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao, Buon Me Thuot and Pleiku.

The aviation demand, especially for domestic flights, will increase considerably in the next few years.
