Air India first round talks with Indian Commercial Pilots’ Association fail

Indian Commercial Pilots' Association (ICPA) announced conciliation talks with Air India and the Chief Labour Commissioner regarding the payment of salaries and productivity linked incentives (PLI) allowances to avert strike action from 24-Nov-2009 failed (Press Trust of India, 09-Nov-2009). A second round of talks will reportedly be held on 20-Nov-2009.

Indian Commercial Pilots' Association: "We have asked the management to pay our salary and incentives and come up with some positive steps for company's turnaround by 20-Nov-2009. If on that day too they fail give us some positive outcome then we would forced to proceed on strike from November 24 as per the notice," Captain Shailendra Singh, President.
