Air France-KLM shows interest in cooperation with Air Berlin

Air France-KLM CEO Jean-Cyril Spinetta stated the carrier is "definitely open" to cooperation with Air Berlin, according to Financial Times Deutschland. Mr Spinetta, however, noted Air Berlin has not yet approached the carrier on any potential codeshare agreements. As previously reported, Air France-KLM is considering entering a potential codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways, which has an ownership interest in Air Berlin. The agreement could be included to cover Air Berlin, as Air France-KLM seeks to expand the codeshare agreement to cover intra-European services, to provide competition against Lufthansa.
