Afriqiyah Airways announces expansion plans at Dubai

Afriqiyah Airways announced (19-Apr-2010) an increase in frequency between Dubai and Tripoli from four to six times weekly, with new A319 equipment. The carrier added it has long-term plans to operate via Dubai to various points in the Indian Subcontinent and Asia, namely Dhaka, Mumbai and Manila, using an A330 aircraft inducted into the carrier's fleet in Oct-2009. The carrier also plans to reroute Tripoli-Dhaka services via Dubai. With these developments in place, the carrier plans to make Dubai its second hub "soon". [more]
