Aeromexico summarises network expansion efforts; connectivity up 10% since 2010

Aeromexico summarised (07-May-2014) its network expansion efforts and plans going forward, which will be focused on strengthening its hub operations at Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey and Hermosillo. The carrier noted connectivity increased by 10% from 2010 to 2014, during which its network expanded from 66 destinations in 14 countries to 80 destinations in 19 countries. Internationally, the carrier now operates 20 times weekly to Europe, serving Madrid, Paris and London, and seven times weekly to Asia where it serves Tokyo and Shanghai. For domestic corporate travel, Aeromexico is focusing on shuttle services between Mexico's commercial centres, offering 17 times weekly service from Mexico City to Guadalajara and Monterrey on average and eight times daily Guadalajara-Monterrey service on average. Regionally, Aeromexico recently launched service to Quito and and plans to launch service to Rio de Janeiro from Jun-2014, its 13th Latin American destination. [more - original PR - Spanish]
