Aerolineas Argentinas president confirms goal of 89-strong fleet by 2018

Aerolineas Argentinas president Mariano Recalde confirmed (29-Aug-2014) the carrier is aiming to increase its fleet from 70 aircraft at present to 89 by 2018. Aerolineas' short-and-medium-haul fleet is comprised of Boeing 737-family equipment and its long-haul fleet features A330s and A340s, while subsidiary Austral operates an all-Embraer E190 fleet, according to the CAPA Fleet Database.
