Aerolineas Argentinas announces number of new domestic and int'l routes from 2015

Aerolineas Argentinas announced (03-Oct-2014) plans to launch a number of new domestic and international routes as well as boost various frequencies from Jan-2015. The carrier plans an overall 16% year-on-year increase in seats in 2015. Capacity increases include:

  • Domestic:
    • Cordoba-Calafate: Launch service from Jan-2015;
    • Rosario-Bariloche: Launch service from Jan-2015;
    • Cordoba-Rosario-Calafate: Launch service from Mar-2015;
    • Cordoba-Rosario-Bariloche: Launch service from Mar-2015;
    • Cordoba-Tucuman: Launch service from Mar-2015;
    • Rio Gallegos-Tucuman: Launch service from Jul-2015;
    • Buenos Aires-Bahia Blanca: Increase frequency from three to four times daily from Ju-2015;
    • Buenos Aires-Santiago del Estero: Increase frequency from daily to twice daily from Jul-2015;
  • International:
    • Buenos Aires-Havana: Launch twice weekly service from Jan-2015;
    • Buenos Aires-Punta Cana: Launch three times weekly service from Jan-2015;
    • Buenos Aires-Cancun: Launch twice weekly service from Jan-2015;
    • Buenos Aires-Salvador: Launch six times weekly service from Jan-2015, then increasing to daily from Mar-2015;
    • Buenos Aires-Quito-Guayaquil: Launch daily service from Apr-2015;
    • Buenos Aires-Florianopolis: Increase frequency from daily to three times daily in Jan-2015 and Feb-2015;
    • Buenos Aires-Punta del Este: Increase frequency from daily to six times daily in Jan-2015 and Feb-2015.
