Aeroflot selling 51% stake of Saratov Airlines

Aeroflot has closed (29-Dec-2011) an agreement covering the sale of a 51% stake of Saratov Airlines to private investors. The carrier stated the decision to sell the stake was due to the "inconsistency of the current local status of the airline with the strategy of Aeroflot Group development". The carrier added the "business structure and scale of JSC Saratov airlines doesn't comply with JSC Aeroflot plans to become the global player on the air transportation market". [more - original PR]
