Aeroflot pax, cargo volume and load factor up in Sep-2016

Aeroflot reported (26-Oct-2016) the following traffic highlights for Aeroflot in Sep-2016:

  • Passenger numbers: 2.7 million, +11.8% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 1.2 million, +7.9%;
    • International: 1.4 million, +15.9%;
  • Revenue passenger kilometres: 7640.7 million, +13.2%;
    • Domestic: 2813.3 million, +3.5%;
    • International: 4827.4.1 million, +19.8%;
  • Load factor: 85.4%, +3.1pps;
    • Domestic: 89.0%, +4.2pps;
    • International: 83.5%, +2.8pps;
  • Cargo and mail volume: 16,594.6 tons, +169.5%;
    • Domestic: 7656.7 tons, +139.3%;
    • International: 8937.9 tons, +202.2%.

Traffic highlights in the nine months ended Sep-2016:

  • Passenger numbers: 21.7 million, +10.4% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 10.7 million, +12.4%;
    • International: 11.1 million, +8.5%;
  • Revenue passenger kilometres: 61,991.1 million, +11.0%;
    • Domestic: 22,411.8 million, +9.0%;
    • International: 49,618.5 million, +11.5%;
  • Load factor: 82.0%, +1.8pps;
    • Domestic: 86.4%, +4.6pps;
    • International: 79.8%, +0.5pps;
  • Cargo and mail volume: 118,867.4 tons, +23.6%;
    • Domestic: 57,758.5 tons, +40.2%;
    • International: 61,108.9 tons, +11.1%.

Domestic available seat kilometres (ASKs) declined by 1.4% in the nine months ended Sep-2016. The decrease was due to postponement of aircraft deliveries required for summer schedule operations and respective adjustments in the flight program. [more - original PR - English/Russian]
