Aeroflot pax up 13% in 10 months ended Oct-2015; loading factor up due to Transaero support

Aeroflot reported (25-Nov-2015) the following traffic highlights in Oct-2015:

  • Passenger numbers: 2.3 million, +13.1% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 1.2 million, +17.9%;
    • International: 1.2 million, 8.8%;
  • Passenger load factor: 80.6%, +2.2 ppt;
    • Domestic: 85.5%, -2.8 ppts;
    • International: 77.9%, +1.8 ppts;
  • Cargo and mail volume: 11,647 tons, -20.7%;
    • Domestic: 6143 tons, -9.7%;
    • International: 5504 tons, -30.2%.

Aeroflot Group traffic highlights in Oct-2015:

  • Passenger numbers: 3.4 million, +17.9%;
    • Domestic: 2.1 million, +37.1%;
    • International: 1.4 million, -3.1%;
  • Passenger load factor: 78.8%, +1.4 ppts;
    • Domestic: 80.5%; +1.2 ppt;
    • International: 77.4%, +1.2 ppts;
  • Cargo and mail volume: 13,610 tons, -18.1%;
    • Domestic: 7923 tons, -7.0%;
    • International: 3167 tons, -29.8%.

Aeroflot Group and Aeroflot Oct-2015 operating results for October were significantly influenced by the Group's participation in a the programme to carry Transaero Airlines passengers. Transaero Airlines flights ceased on 26-Oct-2015 and Transaero passengers flew aboard Transaero services operated by Aeroflot Group as well as aboard Aeroflot Group's own scheduled flights. The number of Transaero Airlines passengers carried aboard Aeroflot Group flights totalled 88,700 passengers.
