AEA sees airlines seeking hybridisation within their own models

Association of European Airlines (AEA) CEO Athar Husain Khan, speaking at CAPA's Airlines in Transition Conference on 25/26-Mar-2015, stated (26-Mar-2015) the most interesting developments the AEA has witnessed is association airlines trying to find hybridisation within their own products. The short-haul to short-haul connecting market in Europe is under pressure, and will increasingly be so. There will always be destinations in Europe that will not justify a direct flight from a European hub. The move to point to point is "customer driven".
