AEA seeks for clarification of operating rules regarding ash threat

Association of European Airlines called (08-May-2010) for renewed efforts to determine the true nature of the risks involved, in reaction to the new threat from the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud. The European mainland has again been affected by volcanic ash. [more]

Association of European Airlines: "There are still several areas of imprecision, all urgently needing to be refined. But for the time being, the current provisions must at least be clarified and implemented consistently and coherently so that airlines and passengers are not confronted with different interpretations in each country.
