AEA: European FSCs 'missed the boat' on the pan-European LCC model

Association of European Airlines (AEA) CEO Athar Husain Khan, speaking at CAPA's Airlines in Transition Conference on 25/26-Mar-2015, stated (26-Mar-2015) European full-service carriers "missed the boat" on the pan-European LCC model. According to Mr Khan, there is still more room in Europe for LCCs, particularly for airlines built from the bottom up, rather than as a full-service carrier attempting to strip itself down. Many of the focus points in the competitive market is going to be on the balance between costs and service.
