Association of European Airlines (AEA) reports (10-Aug-2009) the following traffic highlights on trans-Atlantic services for its member airlines:

  • Passenger numbers:
    • North-Atlantic: 2.6 million, -7.2%;
    • Mid-Atlantic: 485,800, -9.3%;
    • South-Atlantic: 428,200, -8.7%;
  • Passenger load factor:
    • North-Atlantic: 85.8%, +0.2 ppt;
    • Mid-Atlantic: 82.8%, +0.9 ppt;
    • South-Atlantic: 79.8%, -0.3 ppt;
• Six months ended 30-Jun-2009:
  • Passenger numbers:
    • North-Atlantic: 12.6 million, -8.5%;
    • Mid-Atlantic: 3.2 million, -7.4%;
    • South-Atlantic: 2.6 million, -8.0%;
  • Passenger load factor:
    • North-Atlantic: 78.3%, -1.4 ppt;
    • Mid-Atlantic: 81.5%, -2.6 ppts;
    • South-Atlantic: 77.0%, -2.4 ppts.
