European Commission watching trends in distribution, 'who will own the passenger?'

European Commission DG Competition Henrik Mørch, speaking at the ACI 26th General Assembly in Athens, said (21-Jun-2016) the EC is watching developments in distribution brought on by higher web distribution and third-parties. Mr Mørch said the EC is interested in the discussion of "who will own the passenger" and if there are competitive concerns about that. Mr Mørch said the EC has observed airlines and other companies are taking measures now to prepare and participate for a potentially radical change in distribution.
