Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport pax up 10% in Apr-2016

Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport reported (18-May-2016) the following traffic highlights in Apr-2016:

• Passenger numbers: 2.6 million, +9.5% year-on-year;
• • Domestic: 1.2 million, +11.6%;
  • International: 1.4 million, +7.7%;
• Aircraft movements: 21,708, +2.8%.

Traffic highlights in four months ended Apr-2016:

• Passenger numbers: 9.5 million, +9.3% year-on-year;
• • Domestic: 4.4 million, +14.2%;
  • International: 5.2 million, +5.4%;
• Aircraft movements: 83,692, +3.4%.

The airport attributed growth in international passenger numbers to launch of new services by Aeroflot and other carriers. The most popular international destinations during the four month period were Paris, Prague, Bangkok, Tel Aviv and Beijing.
