Tegel and Schoenefeld Airports: Traffic Report for July: Traffic growth remains stable
06-Aug-2012 In July, Tegel and Schoenefeld Airports together reported 2,402,809 passengers, a 5.7 per cent rise over the same month of the pre-vious year. In total, between January and July 2012, 14,274,781 passengers were handled, which represents an increase of 5.3 per cent over the same period of last year.
Last month, 680,643 passengers used Schoenefeld Airport. This result represents a slight decrease of 0.7 per cent compared with July 2011. In the first seven months of the year, 4,102,266 passengers were reported at Schoenefeld (+1.6 per cent). Last month, Tegel reported 1,722,166 pas-sengers. This is 8.5 per cent more than in the same month of the previous year. In total, 10,172,515 passengers (+ 6.8 per cent) were handled at Tegel between January and July.
Flight movements in July 2012 totalled 21,726 take-offs and landings, a rise of 4.1 per cent compared with the same month of the previous year. The volume of air cargo handled rose by 3.1 per cent to 2,880 tons.
