New management structure at the helm of the Brussels Airlines Operations Department

Peter Kranich, Chief Operations Officer at Brussels Airlines since March 2012 is leaving the company on 30 September. He has contributed to the implementation of the restructuring plan "Beyond" within the operational departments of Brussels Airlines, not only at the level of cabin crew and pilots, but also within the maintenance and ground operations departments. On behalf of all employees the management of the Belgian company wishes to thank Peter Kranich for his contribution.

A dual structure under the supervision of the CEO

From October 1st Bernard Gustin, CEO of Brussels Airlines, takes over the legal responsibility for the activities of the company. Thibault Demoulin, currently Vice President Flight Operations, and Dirk Vrebos, currently Vice President Corporate Development, will take over the tasks of Peter Kranich and will both report directly to Bernard Gustin. "Their expertise is an important asset for our company", says the CEO. "With their extensive experience in ground and flight operations they are perfectly complementary".

Ground Operations

All ground operations, including the maintenance department, the airport services department and the security department, will fall under the responsibility of Dirk Vrebos, Vice President Operations, Deputy Accountable, responsible for Ground Operations, Security and Maintenance. This structure consists of around 1100 employees.

Flight Operations

Thibault Demoulin, Airbus A330 captain, will be responsible for all aspects of the flight operations of the airline. In his capacity of Vice President Operations, Deputy Accountable, responsible for Flight Operations he will head the pilots, cabin crew and the operations center of the company, which together are around 1700 employees.
