About

Ipoh Sultan Azlan Shah Airport officially reopened on 21-May-2013 following a MYR42 million (USD14 million) upgrade project. The project included expansion of the arrival and departure areas, extension of the runway from 1800m to 2000m, installation of additional seating, expansion of the commercial parking area and installation of air conditioning equipment. The upgrade commenced on 13-Apr-2011 and the airport has been fully operational since 01-Nov-2012.
