Wizz Air plots aggressive expansion plans following demise of SkyEurope

Wizz Air has been plotting an even more aggressive expansion, focused on Central and Eastern Europe, to capitalise on the demise of competitor, SkyEurope, which filed for bankruptcy in Aug-2009. Wizz Air is expanding from its bases in Prague and Sofia and launching operations from its new base in Bratislava. At present, the carrier has a 30% capacity share in Eastern and Central Europe, making it the largest carrier in the region, despite its later entrance in the market.
