Wesco Aircraft looking to list

Wesco Aircraft - a major supplier of commercial and military aerospace components - has filed with the US Securities Exchange Commission for an IPO aimed at raising up to USD300 million. The company plans to apply for listing under the code "WAIR". Revenue in 2010 was USD656 million, with Boeing the company's largest customer.

TransDigm Group completed the divestiture of Aero Quality Sales to Satair for approximately USD30 million in cash. AQS was part of the McKechnie Aerospace acquisition which closed in Dec-2010. The transaction will have a "minimal effect" on TransDigm's FY 2011 operating results.

In aerospace stocks on Friday major movers were AAR Corp - down 3% - and B/E Aerospace, which lost 2.9%. B/E Aerospace plans to announce its 1Q2011 results on 25-Apr-2011.
