Sydney Airport reaches Commercial Agreement with Qantas

Analysis

(CAPA) Macquarie Airports (MAp) notes that Sydney Airport Corporation

Limited has announced the conclusion of a five-year commercial agreement regarding

aeronautical charges at Sydney Airport with Qantas, covering all Qantas passenger

services.

The international component of the agreement is consistent with the agreement reached with the Board of Airline Representatives of Australia on 06-Sep-07. Sydney Airport and Qantas have agreed that further details of the agreement will remain commercial-in-confidence.

MAp CEO, Kerrie Mather, said "Macquarie Airports welcomes this agreement as it represents an excellent outcome. It is pleasing to note that five year commercial agreements, which cover issues such as aeronautical charges, lounge arrangements, bussing, and gate access, are now in place covering more than 90% of passenger traffic at Sydney Airport. This delivers price certainty for airlines and investment certainty for Sydney Airport."
