Ryanair provides aircraft to Aer Lingus as it battles cabin crew dispute

27-Jan-2011

Aer Lingus expects 10% of its schedule to be affected by a cabin crew dispute over rosters. It cancelled about two dozen flights on Wednesday. Ryanair, which holds a strategic stake of just under 30% in Aer Lingus, has provided five aircraft for the Irish carrier and will provide a sixth if required next week, in support of Aer Lingus' stance against trade union Impact.

Aer Lingus' shares were flat yesterday, while Ryanair gained 2.8%.

Elsewhere, Turkish Airlines gained again, as Goldman Sachs raised the company’s target price yesterday from YTL7.30 to YTL8 per share.
