To celebrate the momentous occasion, a special exhibition of the OMEGA Speedmaster Collection ("the Moon Watch") and the launch of the OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo XV Limited Edition watch is running in Departure East Hall Level 6 until end of August 2006.

Nuance-Watson (HK), together with Omega and Airport Authority Hong Kong, inaugurated the revamped boutique and was joined by OMEGA Ambassador Simon Yam Tat-Wah, who has just received the Best Actor Award in the 11th Golden Bauhinia Awards.

A combination of luxury and comfort

The newly renovated OMEGA boutique brings together luxury and comfort in a most relaxing environment. It embodies a new concept that builds on the original design mastering the juxtaposition of space and choice of contemporary colours and lighting effects. The stunning faade is now completely transparent, opening up the luxuriously refurbished shop interior and welcoming tourists and customers with comfortable chocolate-coloured furniture. The remodeled interior is bright and spaciously designed to showcase the world of OMEGA. OMEGA's history also comes alive in a dedicated exhibition space featuring a stone W (OMEGA), the last letter of the Greek alphabet.

Nuance-Watson (HK) and OMEGA has enjoyed a long and fruitful working relationship which dates back to the opening of the boutique at Hong Kong International Airport in August 2003. The new boutique underlines both companies' commitment of growing the business at Hong Kong International Airport and surpassing travelers' expectations in shopping enjoyment.

The Speedmaster collection on display

As part of the celebration to the launch of the new OMEGA store concept, the Speedmaster exhibition displays the OMEGA Speedmaster Collection, the chronograph famous for being the first and only watch worn on the moon. It was the only wrist watch "Flight Qualified by NASA for all Manned Space Missions" and was used for projects including Apollo, and Space Shuttle. Among the exhibits are life-size replicas of the Lunar Rover and space suits, which were used to explore the surface of the Moon, as well as a detailed history of OMEGA's role in space exploration.

Also in the limelight is the launch of the OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo XV Limited Edition. To commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Apollo XV space mission, OMEGA has launched the Speedmaster Apollo XV, which consists of a limited total of 1,971 watches in the world, in honour of the year of the mission. This exclusive Moon Watch retains the traditional characteristics of the Speedmaster Professional chronograph with the addition of the Apollo XV patch etched on the case back. The watch comes in a special wooden presentation box which features the Apollo XV patch and OMEGA logo in silver.
