Nuance joint venture wins duty-free concession at Fort Lauderdale Airport

FORT LAUDERDALE (The Nuance Group) - Broward Duty Free, a joint venture partnership led by The Nuance Group, has won the open tender for a concession to operate four duty-free outlets at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport in Florida. The concession is valid for an initial five-year term.

Ford Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport in Florida is one of the fastest growing airports in the US. Along with non-stop service to over forty US cities, the airports offers international flights to Canada, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America and serves over 20 million passengers a year. The four airline terminals feature many restaurants, gift shops and business centers.

The Nuance Group is a majority partner in the Broward Duty Free joint venture partnership uniting The DFASS Group and Williams and Hope Corporation (a certified minority-owned business). Broward Duty Free intends to begin operations in Fort Lauderdale in December of this year, subject to obtaining all the necessary regulatory approvals.
