NIKI doubles net profit in 2008: USD7.1 net profit

Austrian LCC, NIKI, reported a record net profit of USD7.1 million in the 12 months ended 31-Dec-08, doubling its 2007 net profit and generating a net margin of 3.1%. Revenue rose 25%, as traffic increased 23% year-on-year to 2.1 million passengers, despite difficult trading conditions. NIKI expects a "good 2009" and is aiming to continue its strong performance by retaining to its growth strategy over the next 12 months.
