New Doha International Airport construction projects announced

SYDNEY (Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation) - New Doha International Airport steering committee awarded the following contracts for the construction and infrastructure of the new Doha International Airport:

  • Sinohydro-Gamuda-WCT JV: QAR1.8 billion contract for the design, procurement and construction of airfield facilities;
  • Bechtel: QAR900 million contract for the provision of engineering, procurement and construction services for Phase II of the project. Bechtel is currently implementing the QAR2.8 billion Phase I of the project;
  • Midmac Contracting: QAR717 million contract for the design, procurement and construction of airside and landside roadways;
  • Al Jaber Engineering: QAR46.4 million contract for the construction of the labour compound;
  • Qatar Al Attiyah International Group: QAR2 million contract for the provision of marine engineering inspections
