CANSO's new Director General, Graham Lake, formally took up his new position on 01-Dec-2009, succeeding Alexander ter Kuile at the top of the organisation. However, he has walked straight into the ongoing dispute over how much of the burden of the current traffic crisis should be shared by air navigation service providers (ANSPs).
