Low cost airport terminals still popular in Asia Pacific but declining in significance in Europe

Two reports have been published by CAPA since 2008 on the proliferation of low cost terminals (LCCTs). Their popularity appears to be in decline as the budget airline business reaches maturity in Europe while fuel prices remain prohibitively high for new start-up LCCs, but they remain popular in Asia, where there are several new developments in countries where LCCs are at last making inroads, such as Japan.
