Leaner JAL earns bumper first half profit
Japan Airlines (JAL) has continued its strong recent financial
recovery with a seven-fold increase in operating profit to USD494 million in
the six months ended 30-Sep-07. The result was attributed to strong premium
demand on services to the US, Southeast Asia and China, a reduction of loss-making
services and its accelerated job cuts programme.
