Joy Air launches operations
Joy Air launched operations in 15-Aug-09, after receiving its operating certificate from CAAC at the start of Jun-2009 and launching trial operations shortly after. The carrier is JV between China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC), with a 95% share, and China Eastern Airlines, with 5%. It commences operations with approximately CNY 1 billion (USD146 million) in registered capital.
