Jet Airways, Singapore Airlines and Korean Air shares ease - airline share wrap

Jet Airways shares slumped 5.4% as the airline leased out two A330s to Oman Air and Kingfisher/Kingfisher Red garnered more domestic market share in Jan-09.

Singapore Airlines - the world's largest airline by market capitalisation - declined 1.5% to SGD10.44 yesterday as the carrier announced plans to slash its capacity by 11% next financial year. Singapore Airlines shares have declined 7.3% this year, extending last year's 35% fall.

Elsewhere, Korean Air and Asiana Airlines shed 4.2% and 1.4%, respectively, as the won weakened and export data for Jan-09 showed further steep falls.
