Jestar Asia and Myanmar Airways International sign a codeshare agreement

SYDNEY (Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation) - Jetstar Asia and Myanmar Airways International signed a codeshare agreement covering Myanmar Airways' four times weekly Singapore-Yangon service. A commencement date was not disclosed.

Meanwhile, Jetstar Asia plans to codeshare with Qantas on Australia-India services via Singapore from 01-Dec-05.

"We are not changing the basic model of our airline…We are still the same airline, providing competitively priced tickets and good quality service. We just want to inject more flexibility into the model in order to derive more benefits", Ken Ryan, CEO.
