Hong Kong Airlines to take on Cathay on services to Australia and the Middle East next year

Hong Kong Airlines has confirmed plans to launch medium-haul international passenger and cargo services from mid 2009, in a further escalation of competitive tension in Hong Kong. In Sep-07, Hong Kong Airlines signed a firm order for 30 A320s, 20 A330s and one ACJ business jet. The order was originally announced at the Paris Air Show.
