Germanwings reacts to downturn with capacity reductions


Germanwings reported a 13.1% year-on-year decline in passenger numbers, to 506,266, in Mar-2009, attributed to a 9% reduction in capacity (ASKs) and the weak economy. As a result, load factor fell 6.3 ppts to 76.9%. [404 words]
