Australian flag carrier, Qantas, is one of several airlines
seriously looking at unlocking greater shareholder value by unbundling non-core
activities and selling them to investors. The exercise was given added impetus
by the attempted take-over of the carrier by Airline Partners Australia (APA),
an international consortium of investors.
