Expansion of low cost services & success of Jet Airways boosts Brussels Airport- outlook not as rosy

Premium Analysis

Brussels Airport reported solid performance in all areas of the business in the three months to 30-Jun-08.

EBITDA growth of 12.8% was driven by "solid performance in all areas of the business," according to Macquarie Airports' CEO Kerrie Mather, including "commercial activities, operational cost management and traffic growth of 10.5% compared to the previous corresponding period (pcp). This was the result of a strong underlying performance supplemented by the success of the Jet Airways European Hub with opened in Aug-07 and the expansion of low fare service at the airport."
