Etihad Airways' passenger traffic up 41% in 1H08

Etihad Airways reports passenger traffic increased 41% year-on-year to 2.8 million in 1H08, some 800,000 more passengers than the carrier handled in the same period in 2007. The high level of demand in the UAE market has been reflected by the carrier's rising load factor, up nine percentage points to 73% in the six-month period.
