China Eastern in talks with potential investors, including Singapore Airlines

Beijing (XFN-ASIA) - China Eastern Airlines Corp Ltd (SHA 600115;
HK 0670; NYSE CEA), one of the country's three largest airlines, said it is
in talks with potential investors, including Singapore Airlines Ltd (SIA).
In a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the company said its parent is consulting with the State-owned Asset Supervision and Administration Commission about the possibility of introducing strategic investors into the company.
SIA chief executive officer Chew Choon Seng said earlier that the discussions between the two companies are still at a preliminary stage.
