Bombardier shares stronger, EADS still falling

Analysis

Shares in Bombardier rose 3.7% at the close of trading on Tuesday. The Canadian company recently announced it has received firm orders from an undisclosed customer for eight large business jets, valued at USD383 million. Bombardier is maintaining that its CSeries is on track for its 2013 entry into service, although it has been almost 12 months since the aircraft recorded a new customer.

Other aircraft manufacturer shares were generally stronger, with United Aircraft Corp up 2.1%, Embraer gaining 1.9% and Boeing up 1.2%. EADS was down 0.3%, despite all the noise the company has generated from the WTO ruling on US government subsidies to Boeing.
