Ryanair this week announced it has been forced to postpone the launch of 11 new routes from Dusseldorf and 25 routes from Birmingham. Yesterday, Australia's international start-up carrier, V(irgin) Australia was forced into the costly decision of delaying its Sydney-Los Angeles launch by 76 days until the end of Feb-09, thereby missing the prime Christmas/New Year holiday peak.
