Alpha Retail signs licensing agreement with Starbucks

Alpha Retail signed a Licensing Agreement with

Starbucks Coffee Company (UK) Ltd to open a number of coffee stores in various

UK airports through a structured roll-out programme over the next few years.

Alpha Retail will be working closely with Starbucks in seeking and developing retail coffee outlets in UK airports. The Licensing Agreement will combine Alpha's expertise in worldwide airport retailing with Starbucks' beverage and food offerings.

Alpha will recruit staff for the new stores. Starbucks will provide ongoing support and provide the stores with Starbucks coffee and food products. The first store is set to open landside at Jersey Airport in Oct-07.

Peter Williams, Chief Executive of Alpha, stated "Our clear strategy for Alpha Retail is to work with key partners to provide the strongest retail offering to the increasingly sophisticated consumer. We believe that this will be a successful and rewarding partnership."
